Know it: the free Snapshot
The questions a real customer would ask — best family law attorney in your city, who should I call after a crash — run across the major AI engines from a clean anonymous vantage, with your report delivered within 48 hours. For each: whether you're named, cited without being named, or absent, and who the engines recommend instead. It's directional by design. Ground truth is what the paid engagement is for.
Prove it: your first month, $495
There is no separate product here — this is the retainer, and month one costs $495 instead of $2,000. What it opens with: 25 client-approved frozen questions across six engines — the 10 highest-intent run three times each on Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode and twice on the ChatGPT and Claude apps, the 15 supporting questions once on the four automated engines — 220 scored observations with screenshots and the run log archived. Because AI answers swing from run to run, single-pass scans mislead; only repeated runs separate a real gap from a bad roll. You get the full per-engine gap map — position, who wins instead, and the prioritized fixes — and it's your first month of the engagement, at a discounted rate: the retainer continues at $2,000/month, month to month, and you can stop anytime. Here's exactly how it's measured.
Hold the line: the $2,000/mo retainer
Month to month, no lock-in. Stated as countable deliverables, not “monitoring”:
- A full six-engine re-measurement of your 25 frozen questions — the 10 highest-intent three times each on the four automated engines and twice on the ChatGPT and Claude apps, the 15 supporting questions once — reported per engine, never blended, with the complete run log handed to you. Verify it yourself.
- A prescriptive edit set built from that month's data: the exact field to change, what it says now, what to change it to, and the engine evidence for each. Most fixes are a title, a heading, or a sentence — we are not rebuilding your site, we are making it legible. New pages only when a question has no page at all, called out separately. Your team ships them — we never take site credentials.
- A citation-decay report — which of your won positions drifted, quantified — and re-hardening of anything that slipped. Positions erode with zero competitor action; this is why the work is monthly. Over time this compounds into your citation-durability record: how long you hold a position once it's won, per engine — a number almost nobody else in this category can even measure, because measuring it requires repeated runs.
- Competitor-citation movement — who gained or lost ground on your questions.
Plus category exclusivity — one business per category, per city, held for as long as you subscribe — and the guarantee below. See a sample monthly scorecard — the actual deliverable, populated from a real panel, anonymized.
The presence guarantee
Named by at least one AI engine on at least 5 of your 25 client-approved questions by day 90 — measured from a clean anonymous vantage, with the run log delivered — or month four is free. Note what's guaranteed: presence, a binary fact you can verify in the log we hand you. Not a ranking, not a score, not a specific spot in ChatGPT. Positions churn from week to week — that's measurable, and it's exactly why we refuse to promise them.
Why the log is the product
Most visibility vendors sell you a proprietary score — one blended number, no rubric, no way to check it. We report six engines separately and hand over every run, because the engines genuinely disagree: a firm can be the top answer on one surface and invisible on the other five. A blended score hides exactly the thing you're paying to know. “Here is the log — verify it yourself” is the whole pitch.
Exclusive to one business per category, per city
We work with only one business per practice area, per city. If we're making a Tampa family-law firm the answer, we won't arm its competitor down the street. The seat is reserved for active retainer clients, tied to a specific category and market, held for as long as you subscribe, and released when the subscription ends. A free Snapshot, or a single discounted first month, doesn't reserve your city — the exclusive seat comes with the retainer.
Common questions
Do I have to pay to see where I stand?
No. The Snapshot is free — five of the questions your customers actually ask, run twice on each of the six engines from a clean, logged-out vantage, 60 scored observations reported per engine, in your inbox within 48 hours. It uses repeated runs like the paid work does, because a single run is a coin flip. What $495 adds is breadth, not rigour: 25 client-approved questions and 220 observations — and it's your first month of the engagement, with the $2,000/month retainer continuing from there (stop after the first month if you like).
Can I just subscribe to a cheap monitoring tier?
We don't sell one, on purpose. A dashboard that tells you every month that you're still invisible isn't a service, it's a subscription to bad news. The retainer is the only recurring product because measurement and the work belong together: every month you get the re-measurement AND the prescriptive edit set AND the re-hardening.
Can I just buy the build once and stop?
You can, and there are shops that will sell you one for around five thousand dollars: a site rebuild, a stack of service and city pages, directory sync, the code yours to keep. We don't sell that, and the reason is evidence rather than salesmanship. Our own benchmark — 383 first-position transition pairs across six engines — puts the expected lifetime of an unmanaged #1 AI recommendation at roughly one to two days, and SISTRIX measured ChatGPT replacing up to 74% of its cited sources every week. A build is a real asset that decays like a perishable one. Which means selling you a one-time build puts us in the position of grading our own homework ninety days later, with the same data that says it slipped — and that is the exact conflict this practice is built to be free of. What we do sell once is the $495 first month: the full 25-question panel, the plan, and the first prescriptive edit set, paste-ready. Stop there if you want to. Either way you own everything we hand you, on publication, with no licence-back. And the technical half of that build is not a secret we are keeping: we publish it free and in full at /spec/, so you can run it yourself and hire nobody.
Is there a contract?
Month to month, no lock-in. Your first month is the $495 first month; the retainer continues at $2,000/month, and you can cancel anytime. The presence guarantee runs on the first 90 days; the monthly deliverables and the run log are what earn the renewal after that.
How fast will I see movement?
Faster than traditional SEO, with an honest caveat. AI engines re-select their sources constantly — SISTRIX measured ChatGPT replacing up to 74% of its cited sources every week — so there's no year-long crawl queue to wait out, and in our own field measurement we've seen an engine pick up a newly published fact and still be citing it a week later. The rhythm: your Snapshot lands in 48 hours, the first prescriptive edits ship inside your first month, the day-30 re-measurement is your first logged before-and-after, and the presence guarantee backstops day 90. What we won't give you is a promised date for a specific answer — selection is probabilistic, which is exactly why every month gets measured against your own run log instead.
Is Nameworthy insured?
Yes. Whitley Row LLC, the entity behind Nameworthy, carries both professional liability (errors & omissions) and general liability coverage. A certificate of insurance is available to any client on request during contracting — standard vendor-diligence paperwork, ready when your office manager asks for it.
Do you work with my competitors?
No. One business per category, per city — one family-law firm in Tampa, one med spa in Scottsdale. The exclusive seat is held for as long as you subscribe and released back to the market when the subscription ends. A free Snapshot or a one-time one-off first month doesn't reserve your city — the seat comes with the retainer.
Who publishes the changes?
You do — and that's deliberate. We deliver each fix asset paste-ready with exact publish steps; your team ships it. We never take your site credentials, never touch your CMS, and everything is yours to keep. You approve everything before it exists anywhere public.
What exactly do you guarantee?
Presence, not placement: named by at least one AI engine on at least 5 of your 25 client-approved questions by day 90, measured from a clean anonymous vantage with the run log delivered — or month four is free. We will never guarantee a ranking or a specific spot in ChatGPT. Positions churn week to week; anyone promising you one is selling something they can't deliver.
